Health, Nutrition and Indigenous Medicine Minister Dr. Rajitha Senaratne met Ambassadors from the European Union (EU) and Germany recently, a Health Ministry spokesman said.
According to the spokesman, EU Ambassador Tung-Lai Margue and German Ambassador Jorn Rohde met with Minister Senaratne at the Health Ministry and discussed the progress of health development projects in Sri Lanka.
‘The discussions were focused on introducing a traffic light labelling system for energy drinks. The progress made in several health development projects was also discussed,’ he said.
Development Strategies and International Trade Minister Malik Samarawickrama, Health Services Director General Dr. Anil Jasinghe, National Medicines Regulatory Authority (NMRA) Chairman Prof. Asitha De Silva and officials were present on the occasion, he added.
