A massive search operation is underway in Vavuniya with vehicles at the moment by the Police and STF.
Four permanent military barriers have been set up covering a larger region in Vavuniya.
According to the defense sources, 20 suspicious vehicles which were alleged to have been loaded with explosives and weapons had been brought to the North from the South.
These checkpoints will check all the vehicles entering the city and driving out the city.
Suspicious 20 vehicles and the vehicle number have been displayed and posted on checkpoints.
