Muslim Members of the Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) yesterday presented a statement to the GMOA Executive Committee regarding the hardships they are undergoing under the prevailing situation in the country.
They stated that as the GMOA Executive Committee, they should explain to all their members that they should be treated equally irrespective of race, religion, class, creed, designation or seniority.
They made several suggestions to preserve and strengthen unity, goodwill and harmony in their union to the GMOA,
They said that their members must refrain from hate speech and posting communally targeted and offensive postings in social media. Another suggestion is that the security level of the institution must be discussed at their review meetings.
