Turkey provides Personal Protective Equipment, ventilators

The Turkish government provided a consignment of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and 10 ventilators to the Foreign Ministry on Thursday. The consignment was handed over to Foreign Secretary Admiral Prof. Jayanath Colombage by Turkish Ambassador to Sri Lanka Demet Sekercioglu, the Foreign Ministry stated in a press release.

Foreign Secretary Prof. Colombage expressed the Sri Lankan government’s gratitude and appreciation to the Government of Turkey, while recalling the ever growing mutual cooperation between the two countries. The Foreign Secretary also referred to the increased importance of bilateral relations between Sri Lanka and Turkey in recent times, especially in the economic sphere, the statement read.

Senior officials of the Foreign Ministry, as well as diplomatic staff of the Turkish Embassy in Colombo participated in the ceremony, the Ministry added.
