Graduate trainees in Anuradhapura absorbed into Permanent Service

Appointment letters were given to 1,289 graduate trainees in the Anuradhapura District recently thereby absorbing them into permanent public service.

The appointment letters were given at the Anuradhapura, Korakahawewa Training Centre and at Kekirawa Central College.

Land Minister S.M. Chandrasena said that the Government has eliminated longstanding teachers’ salary anomalies. He also said that the graduate appointees must work hard without any political affiliations to develop the country.

Provincial Chief Secretary Chandrasiri Bandara said that the graduate trainees were made permanent by the Government since it is a valuable investment to strengthen its development drive.

North Central Province Governor Maheepala Herath, State Minister Shehan Semasinghe, Parliamentarians Uddika Premarathne and K.P.S. Kumarasiri, Mayor H.P. Somadasa, and Anuradhapura Government Agent Janaka Jayasundara were present.
