Paddiyadipiddy Ozone Sports Club Team, Akkaraipattu won the volleyball championship beating Lagan Sports Club Team, Nintavur by 18 to10 in the final of the Rameen Champion Trophy -2022’ floodlit volleyball tournament held at the Akkaraipattu Public Playgrounds recently.
Volleyball coach S.A.C.M.Rameen who was instrumental in introducing volleyball to Akkaraipattu Muslim Central College (National School) and Akkaraipattu was felicitated. A Volleyball tournament was conducted in this connection.
The past pupils of Akkaraipattu Muslim Central College (National School) who were the players organized the tournament successfully.
During the year from 2007 to 2012 S.A.C.M.Rameen rendered yeoman service to promote sports in the school Altogether sixteen volleyball teams from the Ampara district took part. The Paddiyadipiddy Ozone Sports Club and Nintavur Lagan Sports Club Volleyball Teams qualified for the final.
Champions Paddiyadipiddy Ozone Sports Club Team were awarded Rs.10,000.00 cash prize and trophy by the guests and the runner up Nintavur Lagan Sports Club Team was awarded cash prize and trophy. Well-known Volleyball Coach S.A.C.M.Rameen participated as the Chief Guest at the award ceremony.
