The construction of a Dathu Mandira to place relics of the Agrasrawaka Maha Rahat Theras commenced on Poya Day (6) to mark the 73rd birthday of the Incumbent of the Mahabodhi Agrasrawaka Maha Viharaya and President of Sri Lanka Maha Bodhi Association, Japan’s Chief Sanghanayake Ven. Banagala Upatissa Thera.
A medical camp by the Kusal Arana Youth Environment Force was held at the Nallathanniya–Sri Pada Road for pilgrims on the Duruthu Poya Day (6). Doctors, nurses and Sri Lanka Army and Police Officers participated in the camp. Picture by Nissanka Wijerathne.
